From COPPEL Montage to Coppel Maintenance
In 1988 in the small village of Les Gets, the Coppel Montage specialised in installing and maintaining aerial ropeways. Its founder Hugues Coppel, who was previously an employee of the company POMA, started out leading a team of three people.
In 1996, the company decided to make our high-quality standards official by beginning the certification process for ISO 9002: 1994. The business continued to develop and in 2000 a major change occurred. With twelve years of experience in the field of aerial ropeways, management decided to specialise in maintenance: and the company changed names for Coppel Maintenance.

As soon as Coppel Maintenance was launched, our clients’ fidelity and the increase in demand pushed the company to move to new a new plant in La-Tour-en-Faucigny, with 15 employees. Motivated by our director’s ambitions and dynamism, we continued to develop in the demanding aerial ropeway maintenance sector by concentrating our development on the quality of our service and traceability management.
In 2008, Coppel Maintenance moved to Saint-Pierre-en-Faucigny to increase the size of our workshops. All of our inspection, maintenance and repair operations are carried out within the 11,000m2 of covered space that provides safety and reliability of service.
In 2010, Coppel Maintenance decided to expand our business into the field of amusement parks! After a year of testing, new clients became loyal clients, enabling the company to develop new skills, but also to reinforce the entire management system of the company.
